Abd-ben-Omar was a warrior of Arab-Hispanic origin in the 8th century. During his life, he became Visir of Abderraman I, governor of Zaragoza and eastern Spain, and known as Marsilio in the romances and chronicles of the epoch. Born in 731 he died in 788.
