Miguel Abadía Méndez was a Colombian writer, lawyer and politician. He was born in Vega de los Padres, Tolima, he was elected representative of his country's Congress, appointed as minister of Foreign Affairs, minister of Public Education, minister of Treasury and plenipotentiary in Chile. President of Colombia between 1926 and 1930, he is author of Summary of Modern History, Notions on Latin Prosodic, Colombian Geography, among others. He lived between 1867 and 1947.
