Diego Jose Abad y Garcia was a Mexican poet and writer. He was Jesuit and head of Colegio de Querétaro. Author of Treaty on the Knowledge of God, Hydraulic Geography, Epic Trait, among other books; he was born in Jilquipan, exiled to Italy when the Jesuit order was expelled from Mexico and died in Bologna. He lived between 1727 y 1779.
